Hiel Leslie Van Campen III is an international celebrity as well as one of the most prolific and compelling icons of his generation. Known for his uncanny ability to cut to the raw essence of whatever medium he has at hand, Mr. Van Campen's vision is at once humorous, insiteful, often beautiful, and always provocative.

Born to Buddhist parents in Huntington Beach and raised in Escondido, California, Hiel began augmenting his environment with artistic mindset at a young age. The intense culture clashes of his older brothers' 80's punk rock and new wave esthetics augmented with a barrio upbringing of mexican culture and hip hop ideals combined with his mothers weaning on buddhist values, 50's, 60's, 70's, and classical music as well as his fathers love of computors and technology converged in his early years to free Hiel from any one form of social paradigms. In his formative middle school and high school years, he took to the study of French Horn along with a new love for DJing, Writing, Breakdancing and Photography.

At the present, Hiel continues to reach out to new avenues of creation with strides into clothing design as well as the study of alternative energy technologies, world relgions, and new avenues of sound.
